Writing, research, and communications are some of the most important factors in creating the entertainment we consume today. Despite being at home, our internships took many forms, from radio, to literature, to film, to performances and arts-based public relations. Much of our work implored us to dig deeper, find sources, explore the world of social media, research various musical artists or media outlets, edit manuscripts, and communicate effectively online. Our panel invites you to think about the many ways interns and students’ involvement in the arts contribute to the formation of much of the meaningful and powerful entertainment we view, read, or listen to on the daily, while also showcasing the difficulties of trying to work amid the new world of remote workplaces. We hope you enjoy our presentation and learn to pay attention to the interns behind the curtain.
